‘If I Could Tell You Just One Thing’ is a brilliant podcast series produced by Elevate who provide mentoring within the events and hospitality industry. In this podcast they invite leaders to write a letter to their younger self and consider what wise advice they would give themselves now if they only could, and their discussion is based on this letter.

Our very own Jimmy Garcia is the guest on their latest episode. He tells his own story, from his upbringing in Wakefield, powered by his mum’s lasagne – via his forays and missteps outside of his love for food and hospitality. His story continues up to the present today where he now leads a successful hospitality business operating pop-up restaurants in two of London’s highest footfall locations and a catering division designing brand experiences with food for clients that include Google, Meta, Netflix, Pinterest, and Spotify.

Jimmy’s is a tale quite unlike others you’ll hear from entrepreneurs. Built on authenticity, passion, kindness, mistakes and an absence of shame or embarrassment. His career journey to date has been a roller coaster ride doing things his unique way and making the most of the luck he’s been given where nothing is a wrong turn and regrets are just lessons.
